LABSSAH, through an interdisciplinary collaboration approach, is distinguished by:

• expertise in micro- and nanotechnologies, which underpin:

- the development of more efficient methods for the extraction and processing of nucleic   acids for sequencing

- the creation of innovative research and diagnostic systems

• the ability to combine genomic analysis of pathological cells with structural analysis derived from molecular imaging expertise, allowing for a more complete profile of the characteristics associated with a given pathology;

• the presence of various complementary skills at the FBK-SD center (e.g., microfluidics, sensors, and microelectronics), useful for the development of innovative diagnostic systems for research and based on the knowledge developed in the Laboratory.
