The Laboratory is represented by:
a Scientific Coordination Committee, which will be composed of 6 members appointed by the Parties, representing respectively:
FBK-SD: Dr. Leandro Lorenzelli (LABSSAH Resp. / MST Head of Unit), Dr. Cristina Potrich;
University of Trento: Prof. Paolo Macchi (as acting Director of CIBIO), Dr. Roberto Bertorelli
CNR: Dr. Mauro Dalla Serra (as Director of CNR-IBF), Dr. Gabriella Viero (LABSSAH Sc. Resp.)
Contact
Gabriella Viero (LABSSAH Sc. Resp) is PI and Delegate of the Director at the IBF Trento Unit. Her research focuses on translational control of gene expression and the molecular mechanisms of rare diseases, using interdisciplinary approaches and funding from major national and international agencies. After facilitating the foundation of a biotech company, she established the eRIs public–private initiative. GV is active in Science Diplomacy, serving on international committees of the International Science Council.

Cristina Potrich (LaBSSAH Sc. Board member) is senior researcher in the MST research unit of the FBK-SD center and is associated with the Institute of Biophysics of CNR. Her main interest is the development of biofunctional surfaces applied to the micro and nanotechnologies for genomics and proteomics; in particular, she spent last years in the development of Lab-on-a-chip devices and biosensors for medical and agri-food applications with an interdisciplinary approach.
Contact
Leandro Lorenzelli (LaBSSAH Lab Resp) received an M.S. in electronic engineering from the University of Genova in Italy and a Ph.D. from the University of Trento in Italy. He is the Head of Microsystems Technology (MST) at the Sensors and Devices Center of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK-SD). During his career, he has developed or conducted pioneering R&D activities on sensors and MEMS technologies, including bio-electrochemical sensors, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip and 3D neural systems.

Veronica De Sanctis (LaBSSAH Sc. Board member), earned her degree with honors in Biological Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology in 2003. Following postdoctoral research in Rome and at UCLA, she moved to Trento in 2008, where her work has focused on gene regulation, functional genomics and epigenetics.
Roberto Bertorelli (NGS-CIBIO)
Roberto Bertorelli (LaBSSAH Sc. Board member), among the first Italian biotechnologists (1996), worked in oncology genetics in Genoa and in molecular prenatal and postnatal diagnostics in Modena. He joined CIBIO, University of Trento, in 2009.
Veronica and Roberto have co-directed the NGS Core Facility of the University of Trento for 15 years, developing innovative NGS protocols.
